Pulse Metric">

Company Description:
Pulse Metric, Inc., manufacturer of the DynaPulse® line of hemodynamic monitors, develops non-invasive tools that help clinicians better detect and treat hypertension and cardiovascular disease. DynaPulse represents the next generation in hemodynamic monitoring. Its simple noninvasive design and patented waveform recognition technology make it easy for patients to measure and validate blood pressure and pulse in their homes using a simple arm cuff and personal computer. In addition, the waveform data can then be transmitted via the Internet to the San Diego-based company’s DynaPulse Analysis Center to calculate 12 other cardiovascular parameters. Automated systems analyze the waveforms producing easy-to-read reports of cardiac output, arterial compliance, systemic vascular resistance, left ventricular contractility, stroke volume, and others. Through a secured Web site, physicians may access the information as needed. Coupled to the Internet, DynaPulse monitors provide an important link between patients at home and their physician’s office, helping caregivers better monitor medication effects and overall patient progress. This concept may have significant value for helping clinicians manage the growing epidemic of heart failure. The hemodynamic analysis system is currently in clinical development and , as such, may be limited to investigational use.
