    Diagnosis and Treatment
    Drugs such as beta-blockers, calcium channel blockers and nitrates lower blood pressure and reduce the heart’s need for oxygen. Aspirin and other blood thinners help to prevent blood clots, and so reduce the risk of a heart attack. If the condition is more serious, balloon angioplasty and bypass surgery may be warranted.
