    Diagnosis and Treatment
At the time of this writing there is no FDA-approved treatment targeting the RVF virus. The antiviral drug ribavirin may be effective against RVF but is undergoing further clinical investigation. No licensed vaccine is currently available for human use. People who work with animals in areas where RVF is present should take protective measures against exposure to potentially infected animal blood or tissues.
